I work as a Consultant in Restorative Dentistry and Implantology and Head of Department of Restorative Dentistry for Brighton

and Sussex NHS Foundation Trust, this role involves primarily providing restorative care for patients with head and neck

Cancer, Cleft Lip and Palate and multiple missing teeth.


I also work in private specialist practice at Conway House Dental Practice in High Wycombe, Chiswick Park

Dental Practice and Victoria Dental Centre, London.  I am also a medico-legal expert witness and provide post-graduate teaching

regionally, nationally and internationally.

In 2003 I graduated as a dental surgeon from Guy's, King's and St Thomas' University in London.


I then worked as a general dentist for 2 years before becoming a hospital dentist to further my dental knowledge and experience. I worked as a Senior House Officer in Oral and Maxillo-facial surgery, Prosthetics, Oral Medicine & Periodontology, Conscious Sedation and Restorative Dentistry.


During this period of training I also completed two post-graduate diplomas and became a member of both the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and the Royal College of Surgeons of England. 

I concurrently read law at Cardiff University and completed my Masters degree with a dissertation in 'Clinical Negligence in Dentistry'.


I then embarked upon 5 years of formal NHS Consultant training at King's College and St George's Hospitals in London where I obtained experience in providing advanced dental care for patients with cancer, developmental disorders, medical co-morbidities and patients who have suffered facial trauma.

During this training I taught dentists and allied health professionals locally, regionally and nationally. I also published extensively in scientific journals on a variety of topics related to my speciality and conducted research which has been published in an international research journal.


In addition to this, I was awarded an Honorary Lecturership at the Royal College of Surgeons of England and I still examine on behalf of this college for the MJDF examination. I also took the opportunity to complete a post-graduate certificate in teaching and I am an Associate of the Higher Education Authority.


Finally, at the end of my training I was awarded the Winston Churchill Memorial Trust Fellowship which fully funded me to travel to Canada and the USA to enhance my knowledge in the dental rehabilitation of Head and Neck Cancer patients.


I completed my formal post-graduate training after I was awarded a Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of England. Subsequent to this, I have undertaken further training and am an accredited expert witness in dentistry.
