
He studied Medicine at Maastricht University in the Netherlands and Dentistry at Bristol University. Frans worked as a hospital doctor in A&E, plastic surgery and maxillofacial surgery. Besides working at Graystone Referral Centre, Frans is a Specialty Dentist at the Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital providing dental treatment for children and adults with congenitally missing teeth. Furthermore, Frans works as a general dentist in primary care several days a week.
In 2017, Frans completed his surgical exams to become a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons of England (MRCS). He completed two advanced courses in aesthetic and restorative dentistry by Dr Richard Porter and Dr Basil Mizrahi. He also obtained a post graduate certificate in Primary Dental Care from the University of Kent.
Frans has published several papers and has given several presentations at scientific meetings. Furthermore, Frans has been involved in teaching dental students.
In his spare time, Frans enjoys running, cycling, sea swimming and spending time with his wife and three children.
